Describe an organizational environment that would facilitate the ethical practice of nurses caring for chronically ill patients

Describe an organizational environment that would facilitate the ethical practice of nurses caring for chronically ill patients. As you read about patients' rights, describe one patient right that is often not fully implemented in the patient care environment. Identify specific strategies to help ensure that this right is supported within the patient care environment. Explain how the registered nurse can assist in protecting patient rights. https://www.studyhelpus.com/Questions & Answers/ethical-practice-of-nurses-caring-for-chronically-ill-patients/

Three firms, j = 1, 2, 3 compete in a market by choosing quantities

Three firms, j = 1, 2, 3 compete in a market by choosing quantities. Firm 1 is a dominant firm and chooses quantities first while firm 2 and 3 choose quantities simultaneously but after firm 1 has chosen. Firms maximize profit and if firm j produces/offers quantity q it pays the cost C(q) = cq. Products are homogeneous and demand is linear and given by the inverse function P(q1, q2, q3) = 100 https://www.studyhelpus.com/Questions & Answers/compete-in-a-market-by-choosing-quantities/

Western Civilization II

Western Civilization II HIS 102 Research/Annotated Bibliography Assignment NOTE: This assignment is not a traditional research paper. Your task is to gather sources on your topic and compile an annotated bibliography describing those sources. Research papers will not be accepted and students who submit one will receive a zero on this project. See the library link for details on Annotated Bibliographies: https://libguides.sunysuffolk.edu/annbib

Western Civilization II

Each student will select one research topic from the list below, and will conduct research using online and library resources. Upon completion of your research, you will create and submit an annotated bibliography that lists your sources, describes how they contributed to your research, and produces an accurate and complete description of your research topic. Follow the directions below carefully to ensure that you earn as many points on possible, and consult the project rubric attached. Note, again, that this project is NOT a formal research paper—you only need to write an annotated bibliography after completing your research.

Western Civilization II - Research Guidelines

-Students are free to use online and print sources. You may wish to consult the library’s research tools for History, which can be found here: http://libguides.sunysuffolk.edu/history?hs=a. (From Library Home Page=>Research Guides=>History) I recommend J-STOR (https://www-jstororg.lib1.lib.sunysuffolk.edu/action/showAdvancedSearch) and Project Muse (https://muse-jhuedu.lib1.lib.sunysuffolk.edu/) as good resources for finding academic journal articles. -All sources should be appropriate for college-level research. Online sources must be scrutinized for credibility and academic quality. Websites with .edu or .gov domains are usually reliable. Organizational sites are generally safe, though keep in mind that anyone can secure a .org web domain. Be particularly weary of blogs and other personal webpages (these are often unsuitable). Also avoid sites geared toward K-12 education/faculty. Reputable articles should have an author, and authors should have disclosed credentials. Google Scholar can be a helpful tool in finding reputable sources. (http://scholar.google.com/schhp?hl=en). If you aren’t sure about a website’s credibility, send me the link for a second opinion. -Students should use at least five sources in compiling their research. You are free to use more than five.

Western Civilization II - Textbooks

DO NOT count toward your five-source minimum. -Students are free to use Wikipedia, which may serve as a useful starting point for finding other sources. Any information pulled from Wikipedia should be verified through other sources, however, to ensure accuracy. -No more than ONE reference source (such as Wikipedia, Britannica, Biography.com, About.com, History.com, etc.) can count toward the five-source minimum. Be mindful that certain library resources, such as Gail Reference Library and Grolier Online Encyclopedia, count as reference sources. You may also come across reference articles in some of the search databases. Check the citation information for each article you retrieve from databases. Online teacher resource sites (geared toward K-12 instructors) are also considered reference sources and should generally be avoided. -At least THREE of your five sources should come from books, newspapers, periodicals, or academic journals (online or in printed form). Your research should be much more involved than a simple “Google” search. Find and use scholarly sources. Annotated Bibliography Guidelines -Bibliographies must be typed and should be submitted on time according to the topic due date (see below). Late bibliographies will be penalized ten points. Papers received after June 25 will be penalized ten additional points. Papers should be submitted through the Blackboard course page (click “Submit Annotated Bibliography” link) as a Word attachment, pdf file, or Google Docs file. Be sure to include your name and your topic at the top of the paper. 2 -Students must cite all sources used in compiling their research. -Students should list a minimum of five sources in their annotated bibliographies, keeping in mind that only one may be a reference source, and at least three should be some combination of books, newspapers, periodicals, or academic journals. -Citations must conform to MLA formatting standards. Use the library’s citation guide, available here: https://libguides.sunysuffolk.edu/citationNew. AVOID AUTOMATIC CITATION TOOLS (including those from the Library’s resources)—they are generally unreliable. Follow the examples provided by the library’s citation guide and make your bibliography entries fit the structure. -Each source must have an annotation (minimum 5), which should consist of one or more paragraphs (each with a minimum of 4-5 sentences) describing the source, how the source contributed to the research, and what information you acquired about your research topic. Refer to the library’s tutorial on annotated bibliographies (https://libguides.sunysuffolk.edu/annbib). Research Topics and Presentation Dates Topics below are organized under general thematic headings (shown in bold) and are assigned to the due date listed beside the corresponding heading. Each student will select ONE topic only from any of the lists below. You must claim your topic by posting it under the appropriate heading on the Blackboard page (see “Research Topic Selection Forum”) No more than one student per any topic (first to claim on the forum). No more than FOUR student topics from the same grouping (for example, up to four students may claim topics in the Pre-Columbian and Early America section; up to four students may select topics in the English Colonization section, etc.). Projects must be submitted through Blackboard by 11:59pm on the due date to be considered on-time. Click on the “Submit Annotated Bibliography” link, and attach your file (Word, pdf, etc.). Encouragement Strategies to Increase Positive Student Behavior

Encouragement Strategies to Increase Positive Student Behavior. Effective teachers must be able to draw from a variety of strategies in order to respond to different, challenging student behaviors. Teachers can apply these strategies to remind students of expectations, redirect behavior, and positively respond to expected behavior in the classroom. Review the "Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) Example." Then, use the “Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) Template” to complete this assignment. Identifying one student from the “Class Profile” who would benefit from additional intervention, complete a behavior intervention plan to include:
  • Behavior
  • Goals and how they will be measured
  • Interventions and Frequency of Interventions
  • Person Responsible
In a 500-750 word essay, describe strategies teachers can use to respond to challenging behavior during classroom instruction. Your essay should address the following topics:
  • Describe and provide implementation examples of the following strategies: specific praise, choice making, effective group contingencies, contingent instructions, and time-out.
  • Describe how or if these communication strategies can be used to motivate and encourage individuals with disabilities how to adapt to different learning environments.
  • Discuss any cautions related to using each strategy.
  • Describe the decision making process that teachers use when deciding how to intervene on challenging behavior when engaged in instruction.
Support your findings with a minimum of two scholarly resources. APA style is not required but solid academic writing is expected. This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion. You are required to submit assignments that are print deliverables to LopesWrite. A link to the LopesWrite technical support articles is located in Class Resources if you need assistance. https://www.studyhelpus.com/Questions & Answers/encouragement-strategies-to-increase-positive-student-behavior/

Emergency Call Data Analysis

You have recently been hired as an Emergency Services Analyst for the city of Lincolnton, NC. In this role, you are to analyze all emergency services incident patterns, collect statistics, prepare and disseminate information, and assist with special projects. Recently, you have been tasked with conducting analysis on the emergency services data from 911 related calls from around the city.

Emergency Call Data Analysis

Part 1: You receive the email from your Director of Emergency Services, including an Excel file of source data, and are asked to analyze the calls from around the community. You will perform your analysis (in the same Excel spreadsheet) and provide an explanation in an email response (Word document). Download the source data file below. Within the spreadsheet, perform the following: A. Prepare a dataset from the “Source Data” spreadsheet. Remove any potential errors or outliers, duplicate records, or data that are not necessary. Provide a clean copy of the data in your email response. B. Explain why you removed each column and row from the “Source Data” spreadsheet or why you imputed data in empty fields as you prepared the data for analysis. C. Create data sheets using your cleaned dataset and provide each of the following to represent the requested aggregated data. a. Table: date and number of events b. Bar graph: date and number of events c. Table: number of incident occurrences by event type d. Bar graph: number of incident occurrences by event type e. Table: sectors and number of events f. Bar graph: sectors and number of events D. Summarize your observations from reviewing the datasheets you have created and include it as part of your introduction to your analysis report analysis in Part 2. Part 2: Further, the state has offered an additional funding incentive for police departments that are able to meet the standard of having a minimum of 2.5 officers onsite per incident. The Director has delegated the task to you to analyze the police department’s data to determine if the department will be eligible for additional funding. You will use the same source data provided in the Excel spreadsheet. In a Word document, complete the following questions and include the summary from Part 1 in an analysis report. E. Describe the fit of the linear regression line to the data, providing graphical representations or tables as evidence to support your description. F. Describe the impact of the outliers on the regression model, providing graphical representations or tables as evidence to support your description. G. Create a residual plot and explain how to improve the linear regression model based on your interpretation of the plot. H. Using the linear regression analysis, explain if the department qualifies for additional state funding, including any limitations posed by the available data to the assessment of the department’s current funding eligibility. I. Conduct a comparative matrix for the sectors. Explain how your findings impact the operations of the police department. J. Describe the precautions or behaviors that should be exercised when working with and communicating about the sensitive data in this scenario.   K. Discuss any additional tools or technologies that could impact the data collection, storage, or analysis for future projects. L. Provide attribution for credible sources needed in completing your report. https://www.studyhelpus.com/Questions & Answers/emergency-call-data-analysis/

8÷ 2(2+2) = How much? What is this difficult problem that went viral?

8÷ 2(2+2) = How much? What is this difficult problem that went viral? Multiplication is also true for addition and subtraction. Think of a number. 13-5+3-2+2 When I was a child, I often hesitated when I saw such numbers. Since I knew the addition first, sometimes I added 5 and 3 or the last 2 and 2 first. Later, however, the teachers taught to do the yogas together first 13-5+3-2+2 = 13+3+2-5-2 = 18-7 = 11 It has the right answer, no doubt. But when the computer calculates it does not arrange it like this. Because the method is simpler. Since addition and subtraction have the same precedence, you simply count from left to right. 13-5+3-2+2 = 8+3-2+2 = 11-2+2 = 9+2 = 11

  1. Create an appropriately formatted and labeled scatter diagram of these data. Discuss what you observe about the pattern of the data and discuss what one should look for to decide whether a simple linear regression model is appropriate.
  2. Assuming that a simple linear regression model is appropriate, fit a least squares regression model. Show the detailed equations and partial sums in the equations for the regression coefficients.
  3. Test for significance of regression at a = 0.05. (It is your choice what technique you want to use.)
  4. Plot the residuals versus and comment on the underlying regression assumptions.  Specifically, does it appear that the equality of variance assumption is satisfied?
  5. Plot the residuals on a normal probability plot and comment on the underlying regression assumptions. Specifically, does it appear that the residuals are approximately normal?
  6. If a measurement of X has a value of 4.4, determine what the predicted value of Y is and explain what that value represents.
  7. Estimate how likely it is that an observed value of Y greater than 6756 occurs when X = 4.4.
